My previous portfolio: a dark, motion-heavy Next.js site where I pushed animation libraries like Magic UI and Aceternity UI as far as they'd go.
Overview
Portfolio 2025 was a playground as much as a portfolio. I used it to explore animation: spotlight and lamp glows, a headline word that keeps changing, infinite tech-stack marquees, an orbiting cloud of tool icons, a typewriter headline, a floating dock, and cards with glowing borders, built with Magic UI and Aceternity UI on Next.js and Tailwind CSS. The brief I set myself: think out of the box and make every section move.
My role
Designer & developer- 01Designed and built the whole site: Home, About, Projects, Services and Contact.
- 02Explored animation with Magic UI and Aceternity UI: spotlights, lamp glows, word rotators, icon clouds and animated borders.
- 03Built infinite tech-stack marquees, stat counters whose borders trace themselves, and a timeline of my roles and projects.
- 04Restyled and combined library effects so they read as one design rather than a demo reel.
How it was built
Hand-builtHand-built as an animation lab: take an effect from Magic UI or Aceternity UI, bend it to fit, and push it further than the demo.
